The Science
The Nordic Haus is built around the science of thermal contrast — alternating between heat and cold to drive physiological adaptation. Used by elite athletes, Navy SEALs, and longevity researchers.
The recommended protocol: 15–20 minutes in the Finnish sauna at 185–195°F, followed by 2–3 minutes in the cold plunge at 38–50°F. Repeat 2–3 cycles. Finish cold for maximum dopamine and alertness. Finish warm for recovery and sleep.
