The Science

CONTRAST
THERAPY

The Nordic Haus is built around the science of thermal contrast — alternating between heat and cold to drive physiological adaptation. Used by elite athletes, Navy SEALs, and longevity researchers.

The recommended protocol: 15–20 minutes in the Finnish sauna at 185–195°F, followed by 2–3 minutes in the cold plunge at 38–50°F. Repeat 2–3 cycles. Finish cold for maximum dopamine and alertness. Finish warm for recovery and sleep.

Our Nordic Haus attendant will guide you through the protocol on your first visit and tailor it to your training schedule and recovery goals.
